5th Grade Newsletter
Third and fourth grade got the opportunity to learn about dental health. Compass Health came to the school and gave a presentation about the three P's of oral health: Prevent, Practice, and Protect. They had a great time and learned a lot!
Dear Families,
In lieu of a student gift exchange, preK-5 students will have a Christmas stocking to hang in the classroom. The stocking will be filled with goodies for the students to receive at the classroom Christmas party. We are asking that each family sends something to be put in each stocking. You are only sending items for your child’s classroom. Classroom parties will be on Friday, December 16th. Please let us know if you have any questions.
In the coming weeks, students will be taking the middle-of-the-year i-Ready diagnostic assessments in math and reading. Here is some information about i-Ready specifically for the family.

Ms. Straw's math and ELA students received extra credit grade reports today. These reports must be signed and returned by Wednesday, December 7, 2022, to earn the extra credit.

5th Grade read "From Tale to Table" and learned the science behind bread baking. Our class enjoyed baking homemade bread and eating it. Thank you Mrs. Theresa for letting us use the kitchen!

6th grade has a vocabulary quiz on Monday. Students should have their vocabulary notebooks with them! There is a Google Slide presentation attached to the assignment in Google Classroom.
